One of the largest shopping mall chains in the Philippines, Ayala Malls asked for the creation of email newsletters catered to subscribers of their various market segments. Art direction was provided for each market segment's newsletter design to distinctly set each type apart, while taking into consideration their respective branding.
For Ayala Malls' Consumer Engagement newsletters, the design took inspiration from lifestyle magazines where play on images and texts were explored. Overall layout alternates images and texts to give a balanced composition. Depending on the main topic or theme of the newsletter, repeating visual elements, patterns, and textures were used to bring more life to the look.
Zing, an app developed by Ayala Malls to maximize people's shopping experience wherever they are, also had their dedicated newsletters aimed towards users of the app. Overall design for these had a more modern look and feel, utilizing the brand's vibrant colors and use of gradients to make the newsletters pop. It also plays with fun illustrations that complement the brand’s tone of evoking a "youthful energy."
